The Wild Wake up with Kelly & Wood

Background: Sports, Cable TV and light CIA work

How you got into Broadcasting: Interned at 790 The Zone in Atlanta. It was an all sports station. I worked my way up to fill in and weekend producer, and then into reporter for the station, covering many events including Georgia Tech athletics and the Atlanta Falcons, Hawks and Braves. Once I had a taste of radio I couldn’t quit.

Why you love your work: There is nothing I would rather be doing than radio with the people I work with every day.

Random facts about yourself: I truly like all different kinds of music including polka. It’s the weirdest thing but I dig it. My hero, outside of my family, is Ozzie Newsome. He went from playing the game of football and started at the bottom again when he retired as a coach and scout. He now runs the Baltimore Ravens and one of the biggest thrills of my life was interviewing him. I enjoy nothing more at work when I can make other people laugh.
