Three Area Organizations That Help People with Disabilities Receive Grants

(KNSI) – Three regional organizations have been awarded grants from the Central Minnesota Community Foundation’s Special Needs Fund totaling $20,000.

One grant recipient is ConnectAbility of MN in St. Augusta; its $7,500 grant will go to its Special Needs Equipment Opportunity program.

True Friends in Annandale will also get $7,500 in funding for its equine therapy program.

The third grantee is Helping Paws in Hopkins, which partners service dogs with people with physical disabilities. The Central Minnesota Special Needs Fund has awarded $5,000 to Helping Paws.

These grants from the Central Minnesota Community Foundation are awarded yearly, and the foundation says next year’s availability opens in September.
